Hi Sonny,
I just wanted to tell you what a pleasure it was to meet you this weekend. I hope you enjoyed the gifts that Lorrie and I brought you for your birthday. I know you enjoyed that custard donut just as much. We will sneak another
one in for you next time we see you. I look forward to stopping by again soon.

Hey Sonny. How are you? How is the Family? I have been thinking of you and hope that you are well and in good spirits. Although Summer came a bit late, I do hope you were able to enjoy what we have had.
JD and I have not been up to too much this year. Making some changes so we are home more. Dogs are good. Wakinyan will be 12 in Febuary and Siouxie 5 in June. We picked up another bulldog who needed a home, but that
did not work out. We are looking at getting another one in the near future.
Continue to fight and be strong Brother. We love you!!!

Stopped in right at Sonny's dinner time and was greeted by a big smile! Sonny's eyes were extraordinarily bright and his skin looked excellent. The dinner was bratwurst and sauerkraut with fried potatoes (jojos?) and Sonny ate
everything.
Back in his room with his sister, I had the extreme pleasure of seeing Sonny sign "yes" very clearly! Lorrie started a program of teaching Sonny some sign language so he could communicate better. Doesn't seem anyone thought
he would pick it up immediately! He also tried to sign "love."
It will be fun to see Sonny continue to progress.
Bless You All!

Sonny is usually patient and tolerant during my visits so I was happy to see him smile! Even though he looks better each time I see him, I encourage him to keep moving. His ability to position his head is really improving which is
good considering the head rest on his chair is wigged out again (no, not me)! The reason is apparently that the head rest interferes with the lift when staff members transfer him in/out of his chair.
Sonny's hydration/electrolyte balance seems to be key and it looks like that has been attended to very nicely. All you caretakers are in my prayers. Thanks for what you do!

Hi Lorrie,
This is Timothy Sternling (Timothy Lttle Star if you want the indian name). I visited Sonny yesterday and he seemed somewhat tired. I spoke to him about my son and his Soapbox Derby exploits and my daughter's activities in the
Ft Nisqually Living Museum. I told him that if I was boring him to get up and punch me (therapy).
I tried to watch his eyes for "yes" and "no" but had trouble discerning his responses. My visits are a very "touchy feely" thing for me so I sort of go along with my feelings.
When I was first Inspired to visit him, I knew he would be there, I knew he would be awake and I knew that he would hear me. I reminded him that he didn't have to believe in healing...I was just going to ask for Spiritual Healing
and the results would benefit you and me as well as him. He was very animated; he reached out and looked around. I felt that you should be there. I didn't feel so much Power or Energy but usually that's when Healing is most
profound.
Yesterday, March 14th, I spoke to him for a while and worked for Healing and again felt that you should be there...
Thanks Lorrie.
Blessings,
Timothy

Hey all....Poppn in to say hello. Are we at the end of our crazy weather yet? Snow, wind, ice, sleet, sun..What will we get today? Talk about being confused, you just don't know until you look outside.
Love the old pics. How awesome!! Thx for sharing.
All is well here. Rides and fundraisers are being planned, so this just means our calendars are beginning to fill quickly.
We have been discussing getting a new puppy for JD as it has been since October that we lost our beloved Sunka. Not sure what we will get, as the choice is btwn 3 diff. breeds. Hmmm. ???
Wish you the best always my Brother. YOU ROCK!!! As always, thank you to Loretta, Lorie and the rest of Family and friends for keeping us updated and for being there for Sonny.
Have a great week! Take care.

Hey there Sonny..Did you enjoy the superbowl while surrounded by Family? It is so much nicer to be able to enjoy these special days together in the comfort of your own home. Hope you ate lots and were able to have all your
favorites.
JD had a difficult time this year as his 2 favorite teams were playing against each other. In the end, he was rooting for the steelers but okay with the packers winning. We had a gathering of friends together for the game just around
the corner from our house. (literally, turn the corner and go up the hill). Having a good time and not having to drive far...works just fine for me. Me personally, am not much of a football fan, but learning a little more all the time.
The commercials rock though. LoL
All is well here. Pooches are good. Wakinyan (our wht bull) will be turning 11 on Feb. 12th. His arthwritis is slown him down a bit, but still the playful guy that he is.
Work is work. The same for JD, but for me, I am still with Farmers Ins., but waiting for bus. to pick up so I can go back to working FT again. Can you believe it has been 2 years since I obtained my Agents license? Kinda
crazy! So here I am doing what I had to do 2 yrs ago...taking more tests. At least this time though it is an open book, untimed test. The thing is, I have till the 18th to complete these or my license will be revoked so needless to
say, I have some work to do because that will never happen.
Take care Brother. Have a wonderful day, week. In our hearts and prayers always!

Hello, everyone,
It's always so good to read your weekly updates. Every little bit of progress in Sonny's condition is good news. It's bitter cold here now, too, and it has snowed lightly all week. The forecasters promise that we're going to get a
"big" one this weekend. But Pittsburgh is ready for it -- new plans were set up for a big snowfall after the big blast last February. Take care.

Hi Sonny and everyone,
bro, it was AWESOME spending the day with you on Thanksgiving! And in true Perencevic Spirit, there was NO WAY that a broken hydraulic hose was keeping you away from Mom's house, so we managed to muscle you
into Mom's own van and made it work! There was not a chance that we were not going to get you there! :) I swore a few times you were giggling at us inside as we tried to fiogure out how to get you on board, and you thought
we were crazy as we pushed, pulled, and cajoled you into the van. What a story to tell as the years comtinue! "Hey, remember the year we fenagled Sonny into Mom's van the first time..." Hahahahahaha!!!!
So now we know it can be done, we will get you out more often. How about a trip to the mall to see the Christmas decorations? Have some french fries and a milkshake? We could spend the afternoon strolling and people-
watching, seeing all the cool sights! And you wouldn't even have to get cold because it's all inside!
I hope you get to look through more of the horse book, I'll be sure to pull it out when I am there so you can look at more of it.
I'm working on your Christmas present...you know me, I have to make stuff or I don't feel like I did anything special. :/ So I hope you will like it, I think you will. :) Christmas will be here before you know it!
I love you soooooo much, Sonny! I might be there to see you before you even know about this note I'm leaving, but that's okay. I'll just get to smooch on you in person and you canb hear this note later. I miss you already!!! But
I'm glad I didn't come in there while I was sick, because I think the bug I had would have been very bad for you indeed and you just don't need anything like that.
I'll leave this now, with prayers and good vibs coming your way until I see you tomorrow. My heart is always with you, Bro. Stay strong and keep fighting. remember what you told me: "Perencevics don't quit." No fluff, no fancy
oratory...just a simple truth.
You rock and I am so proud of you.

Hello all...Hope all is well and that you are in good health and spirits! Sounds as though there has been a temporary move and another visit home. This makes me smile.
Here we are now all of a sudden in winter..WOW! We knew it was approaching, but really? Not even t-giving or 1st day of winter and yet already stranded in our homes due to road conditions and power outages. CRAZY I
TELL YA!
Not sure when I was on here last, but wanted to share with you that we had to put one of our bulldogs down on Oct 15th. Sonny, remember our red bull? The one with the most attitiude?(love you Sunka) Daddy's boy?It was a
very sad day!! Sunka was 10 1/2, which they are not supposed to live past 8. See photos on mine or JD's FB page. We had no choice but to say a final good bye when his body was overtaken by a rare disease called
"Cushings". Today he is sitting in front of the biggest heaters ever made and letting all other dogs know that it is "his". If he likes you, he may share, but no guarantees...Miss that boy!
Stayed @ home yesterday due to weather, but gonna give it a whirl today. Sonny, I hope you get to go home for Thanksgiving and get to share this day with your Family. Don't eat too much, b ut make sure you have a little of all
your favorites.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!! We have plenty to be thankful for.
Love,

Hi Bro!
I haven't been in to see you because I've been pretty sick. Doc suggested that passing o a flu bug to you would be a very bad plan, so I am keeping my germs to myself, and away from you, Mom, and Sam. But I am on the mend
and will be in soon with some surprises for you! I am living and working on a horse farm, and I think of you so often when working with these beautiful creatures...especially one of the stallians, "Austin". He's big and strong,
definitely willful, and true to his nature can be dangerous in the wrong circumstances. Yet under all that, he desires to please and is so affectionate! He reminds me so much of you, that rare balance between gentleness and power.
I think sometimes when he is eating a carrot from my hand or nuzzling my shoulder, "This horse could kill me with one kick". Such a dichotomy.
Anyway, I can't wait to sit with you again and see YOUR gorgeous smile! I'll be there soon, and I love you endlessly!
To the moon and back,

Sonny...I am sooooooo proud of you!!! you are rockin it and showing us all that you have it in you to keep on fighting. Summer has gone and fall has arrived. Having your window seat in your room must be nice. Seeing the
change of seasons is something you have always enjoyed. I'm glad you get outside once in awhile to get some fresh air and the wind in your face, see the ducks and watch the trees blow in the wind and now watching the colors
change as the leaves fall.
Have you listened to the native cd lately that Jd made for you? I know that you enjoyed listening to it and brought a smile to your face.
Sorry we have not been up to see you since last year. We have been discussing when we can get there to see you and since we haven't made it in a while, I do not want you to think that you are forgotten and that we are not
thinking of you. You are in our thoughts each and everyday hopn and prayn that 1 day you get to come home permanently. It may be awhile, but for now you can enjoy the field trips home. That is soo awesome you get to do
that. How exciting to read of your experience!!!
The weather is changing and gtn colder. The air conditioners are put away and about time to think about the heaters coming out. Love my heat, but that is also admitting it is time for the nasty weather.
The year has been busy with some once in a lifetime bike rides, loss of family and friends and an ill dog, but life for us is the normal with work. My office is looking at moving to another location (just down the road a few blocks)
to a better newer building. You see, we have a tattoo shop next to us (I am not against tats whatsoever), but the appearance is drawing us away. Just not looking professional anymore. If we do that, we are thinking November.
Most recently, we had a new driveway poured. (you remember the ski slope of a drive we had?) No good at all. So much nicer now and it also means that I can now start lookin at a bike again. Yippee!!
Got to go for now, but wanted to take some time before I went to work to say a few words. Thank you to all friends and Family who are there to visit and passing on the updates and to Lorrie for posting the pics I sent on
Sonny's FB page.
Hugs, love and respect!! Till later.

frustrating it can be. I'm like you I can't walk but I will and you will too someday. Reading your story has given me inspiration to keep going. I'm so proud of how strong you are. This is just one short chapter in our lives. God has
big plans for us. We might not know what that plan is right now. Keep smiling your beautiful smile and keep up your hard work. Everytime I think about giving up , I will think of you. Thanks for the hope you have given me. Take
care.
To Sonny's family, Thank you for not giveing up. Family support is such an important role in recovery. He needs you. Trust me I know first hand what it means to have people who really care, when you can't care for yourself.
Thank You!

WOW Sonny!!! You looked GREAT today!! Sam and I had a blast hanging out with you in the sun and sneaking chocolate. :) (Oops! Shshshshshshsh...) I am so proud of you, for how patiently you keep on trying and learning
new skills even when some days are so hard. You just keep pushing on, and I admire you!!!
Sam found your red blanket in the closet and got it out for you, so the next time you are really chilly you can snuggle with your fuzzy fleece blanket, ok?
I filled up the bird seed and hung the hummingbird feeder right outside your window, so hopefully you will see some birds coming and going. How cool will that be, right outside your window! Maybe we will even be able to get
some pictures.
I received an email from Great-Aunt Therese, and she said to tell you that she and the nuns there at the convent are all praying for you every day. She really enjoyed her visit with you when she came up with Grandma a couple of
weeks ago. She too marvels at how brave you are...and she is so right!
Gotta go for now, but I'll be seeing you tomorrow morning when Julie teaches me how to do your massages. I love you endlessly, Bro.

Hey Sonny! You are SO AMAZING!!! Every day that I spend with you I learn more about being strong, working hard, and loving loving loving...I sure do love YOU, Bro! I know you were sad to see Grandma and Aunt Therese go home, but they will still be thinking about you and praying for you every day.
You seemed pretty tired today, so I didn't stay extra long. But tomorrow I plan to hang your hummingbird feeder and put some seed in the regular bird feeder that you have there. I bet you will be able to see some cool birds right
outside your window!!
I'm sorry I couldn't get you a root beer today, the machine didn't have any. But I'll plan ahead next time and stop at the market on the way to see you so you can have a root beer. You seemed to like the orange soda okay, but
we all know that root beer brings down the house!
Sleep well tonight, and I'll see you tomorrow. I love you big, big, BIG!!!
Kisses and hugs,
Lorrie Jean

Hey there all. Thank you for the update Loretta. I hope that summer has been well for everyone.
I am sorry we cannot get up there more often. I know the more visitors Sonny gets, the better his spirits. We have been working through our schedules to find the right time. We want to be able to stay for a while once we are
there.
Good to hear that Sonny gets a window seat. This way, he can be more tuned in to what is going on outside on a more daily basis.
Hope to have pictures to you soon as well. Take care everyone. Will check in soon.
Love to all, Teri

Sonny, Sonny....Oh how have you been? I appreciate the updates and am thankful I have somewhere to go to follow your progress. Thank you everyone!I also apologize it has been so long. We have been coordinating with Jules
on our schedules to come and see you.
Our summer has been busier than normal this year. Relay for Life has passed and completely finished for the year on Aug 31. Next year I will be taking over the 5th annual "Ride and Rally for a Cure" run. Very exciting, but will
also be a huge step for me.
Our pooches are doing well. Still that typical bulldog..The boys, however, are now 10 and our girl is 4. The boys have really started showing there age..A bit sad at this point to watch them walk around so slowly and now
watching their diets change..When that time does come, we know they have lived a long and happy life.
Jobs have been busy and trying to ride when we can. Our next big trip planned is to ride over to the spokane/Idaho border where we will be a few of many to escort steel beams from the twin towers back to silverdale. these will
be escorted to the Kitsap Mall where at a later point will be used in an 911 monument. This is expected to get huge public coverage, so you never know..maybe we could be seen on tv..Hee hee
Sonny, you have made great progress and look fwd to hearing of this more and more. Stay strong and remember to keep the fight. You are never out of our thoughts and prayers..
Love you Brother!!

Hi everyone, Tony and I were there on Sunday Afternoon. I found Sonny to be sitting in the lunch room at 4pm and he was very thirsty. There was also a unruly patient in the lunch room and the ambulance was there to pick him
up, well Sonny kept his eyes on him until the police arrived, then he was wide eyed. We only witnessed a few minutes of the whole thing and decided to get Sonny out of there. So we took him outside and watched the ducks with
her babies, there a a bunch of babies but one little pure yellow one. Like the oddball duckie. We took pics of them, so we could watch their progress. Tony brought his Ipod and we grabbed Sonnys headphones and let Sonny
rock out for a bit. He seemed happy and couldnt take his eyes off Tony while listening to it. He did seem a little quiet, and not much energy. We left at 5pm and I think that is when Sam pulled up as we were pulling out, so at least
I know there was someome there to help feed him. We had to go , we had a long day already. We had just returned from a hospital where the daughter of my childhood friend had tried to kill herself so it was a emotional day for
me. Watching Sonny sometimes is hard because so many of us remember him the way he was and it is hard to watch him struggle to do anything. Sonny has always had alot of love for his friends and I am glad to be one. Thamks
to everyone who visists as I know I need to visit more often. thanks Lorretta for keeping us updated.

Hey everyone,
I can't remember how to log in to sign in the journal, I'll have to figure that out.. but! As grandma was saying in her last journal post Sonny did talk more after she left, and after he was done in the shower, which he looked very
happy about! So we were sitting there and he was determind to take his gown off, so after the first three times he got it all the way off I said whatever! I guess that's what you want. But he was thinkin really hard, and movin all
over the place trying really hard to say something and finally the word "Chris" came out three times! Then he started movin around again struggling to get something else out, and a few minutes go by and sure enough he put a
sentence together! He said "Get your, Get your bag, Get you bag, Get your bag so.." I said ok, so I got my bag. Right before he went into the shower I had grabbed my bag and got my camera out and was showing him pictures
on it, well I guess he wasn't done looking at them because sure shit that's what he wanted! He was so happy, got a big smile, and was pushin the button scanning through my pictures! He has made some leaps and bounds today! I
was pretty much jumping up and down! It was such an awesome visit! :) :) Just thought you all would like to know about his break through today! Hopefully we can continue down this road, I guess time will only tell. I'll be there
to see him tomorrow for either lunch or dinner, so if anyone wants to come your more then welcome!

Sooooo, Sonny...You have been making huge strides I hear. Good for you. We all know you have the fight in you and you have proven that. Keep it Strong Brother!
Things have been crazy around here. Work has been busy for both JD and I. My car has been in the shop twice getting a new muffler/exhaust as well as tranny fluid, radiator and oil change. Then on top of that, JD's bike broke
down last Tuesday when he was on his way home. Fortunately, he was close to home, had a friend follow and had a neighbor come pick the bike up with his flat bed trailer. The fix for that was a new battery. Luckily nothing
more than that. It is a harely you know, so it could have been a lot worse!
Dogs are doing well. Our boys, Sunka and Wakinyan, are over 10 now. The grayness and arthwritis has really kicked in and get an aspirin dailey. After Sunka had cancer surgery last year, we keep a close watch on him. They
have slowed down over the years and is sad to see them moving so slow but still just as stubborn. Don't think that will ever go away! Once our boys are gone, our baby girl, Siouxie, who is 3 will definately be lonely. JD wants to
get a Nea Mastiff. Might be waiting a year after their gone so we can take advantage of some bike trips or camping or whatever..
Lots of rides scheduled and have been really busy with getting everything finalized for our relay for life which takes place on June 11-12.
I know you can't ride with us now Sonny, but maybe again 1 day. You are with us in thought and in our hearts...ALWAYS!!!
Love you Brother. Take care!

Hey, Sonny is doing sooo good! I have been able to go hang out with him a lot more over these last couple of weeks, and have seen such huge progress! He's eating all 3 meals a day almost completely by himself, and his
communication is getting better and better. He has little ways of saying yes and no, by a head nod, or looking at his yes/no signs on his wheelchair. I have been going to see him m/w/f at dinner time, and help him eat. Then we
have been going for a walk around the block, which I think he is really enjoying.. shoot I know I would want to get out of that place occasionally! If you haven't gone to see him, please go! If you want someone to go with you I'm
more then happy to make that happen! Just email me, or you can find me on facebook! Love you Sonny! :)

I just had to share this...
What we all want, is to see Sonny back to normal, right!!!??!
Well I had a dream last night that he was almost back to his good ol self.
I came to visit him and when I walked into his room there were others' there. As I was saying hi to everyone, someone had said you say Hi to Sonny yet?
So that was my next thing. I turned around and said "Hey Sonny it's Teri". I didn't even get through that sentence before Sonny looked at me, sat up on his right elbow and said in a clear voice "Hey Teri Howz it goin?" I was
blown away. I turned around and looked at everyone with HUGE smiles on their faces. All I could do is cry and keep talking to Sonny.
This dream will one day become a reality. I guess that was Sonny saying hi.
Take care all...

Hi everyone, I went to see Sonny on Saturday, looks like he was happy. His room looked great filled with Holiday spirit. He was watching football, not sure if he liked it or not. His head was up straighter than normal and his face
looked like he has lost some weight. Maybe cause it wasnt so bunched up. Although I did give him a bad time about his stripped sweater, I told him he looked like he was wearing Freddy Krugers shirt, though the colors werent
the same. He just looked at me. I wasn't there long, I had company with me so my ride couldnt stay. Hopefully I can get there next week again, I know he needs the company. Ill tell my friends that the cards they sent were hung
on the wall with care. see ya all later.

Hey Bro!!
You know, I'm starting to get a complex about you and I doing this "drama competition" for our poor Mom!! Buddy, if you're in, I'm in, so can we puleeeeeeez agree to give Mom a break from the stress for a while? Heaven's to
Betsy, between the two of us we must have already caused that amazing lady four stomach ulcers, three migraine headaches, two anxiety attacks...and didn't even THINK of sending her a partridge in a pear tree! :) So what do
you say? Some smooth sailing for a while? I'm down for that, and I KNOW you are!
Jeez Louise on a popsicle stick, I MISS YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know Mom explained to you that even though I had told you I would be right back to see you the next day after I saw you last, my schedule suddenly changed
and I had to come on down and do my part for the fine state of California. But that little project is all over - ALL OVER - and hopefully I will be once again a permanent resident of the much more beautiful state of Washington
very soon. Then I will be able to spend lots of time chillin' with you, Bro. I'm looking forward to it!
I have a Samoan friend who is part of the Native Circle where I was recently, and I told her about you. She and the women of her circle are keeping you in prayer. They are a powerful bunch of women, and I am so fortunate to
have met them all.
Mom says your new medicine makes you really sleepy, and that's okay for now but I know that once you get used to it you'll be at your snappy ol' self in no time. Keep fighting, Sonny...we all need you and want you back! It's
hard, I won't even be disrespectful enough to pretend to understand from your point of view, but I will remind you of WHO YOU ARE and of the strength that lies not only within you but that encircles you and wraps itself tightly
around you every minute. Hold on, okay? Don't ever stop fighting...I know you won't.
As always, you have my unending respect and the biggest love my soul can offer. You don't know how YOU got me through many of my roughest days recently, just replaying in my mind things that you have taught me over and
over again through the years. Ha! Do you remember telling me at one point, "Hey, the most important thing to know about fighting is, DON'T if you can avoid it...but if you CAN'T avoid it, remember this: Don't lead with your
face!" <grin> Yeah, I know you're laughing over that one! But once again, remembering that helped me hugely, just like everything else you and I have talked about over the years. I'm looking forward to more of those long talks,
Sonny! I will see you there just as soon as...well, just as soon as I am able. I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Big big BIG love!
Your Sis...Lorrie

Loretta,
So Wonderful to hear that Sonny has made some progress once again. I can not say enough, that the power of prayer is amazing!!!
Jd and I will take a look at our calendar to see when we can get back up there before the weather turns real bad.
It was a very busy weekend for us. On Saturday, I held a holiday Bazaar where 100% of the proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. On Sunday, Ken and I with about 70-80 other bikes did the 19th annual Toy Run for
the children of Harrison Hospital of Silverdale. What a fantastik time it was. A bit cold, but it was sooo worth it. In the end, there was about $8000 worth of toys for the kids. What an awesome feeling!!!!
Take care all. We'll be in touch.
Love, Teri

Hey there everyone..Just checkin in to see how Turkey Day was for all.. For Ken and I, we just hung out by ourselves at home. We rented a few movies and with an exception of ken getting called in to work for an hour, it was a
relaxing day..
How has Sonny been doing?
The weather is getting colder but is not going to stop us from doing a Toy Run for the kids at Harrison Hospital in Silverdale this Sunday. GONNA BE A COLD ONE!!!! Good thing there are a few different stops, so we can get
some warm and fuzzy fluids down us.
We have been really busy with work and around the house. Although we don't do anything for X-mas, I do a ton of baking and ship it to the Family. Oh and but of course, we have to keep some around the house.
This weekend I am holding a holiday Bazaar where the proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.
Hope all is well with everyone and that you are in good health and spirits!!
Take care and we'll be in touch.

Sonny,
YOU ROCK IT IN YOUR WHEELCHAIR!!!! It has been so long, but I couldn't have been happier seeing you. Although you cannot communicate with your voice, you and I had some of our own communication. As we were
staring into one another's eyes, or me giving you a massage and you reacting, we were holding our own conversation. I know that you do not want to be there, nor do you want everyone to see you like that. Well, just so you
know, NOONE IS GOING ANYWHERE. So if you do not want us seeing you like that then you are just going to have to get better and come home.
I know you have the fight Brother, you keep it up alright?!
Sonny, I know you liked the Native CD that JD and I brought. You were half asleep before we put on your headphones and as soon as the music started, you perked right up. Your eyes opened wide, moving your legs and
drumming with your hand.
So to all who come and visit, please play the CD for him. These are songs that he knows personally. He seemed to really enjoy them.
Loretta and Angela..It was a pleasure to finally meet you both. I had a thought about getting Sonny home for the Holidays. What about public transportation? Is there a bus that can bring him home? He can even stay in his chair.
Oh yeah, and Sonny..we posted a few pictures up of you and JD pumpin iron. There is also one of Jules and Smurf. You sexy thang you.
Lots of love.. We will come visit soon Brother. TIOSPAYE

It was nice to see you Loretta, and glad to see you made it through surgery with good spirits. Also it was nice to meet JD and Teri, its nice to hear you got to spend time with Sonny before his accident. It was refreshing to see
Sonny again and see he still likes to eat.He didnt have much on the plate but he ate it all and he had lots of stuff to drink. You can tell when he gets full, he slows down. Now that my sidekick Mikie is around again, I will be able to
come up more often to hang out. Sonny seemed to like the music that Jd and Teri brought him, the cd player was a great idea. Shanna give me a call when you head up this way maybe we can get breakfast again. thanks to
everybody for going to see Sonny, he has been responding well to alot of you. angela t

Sonny,
It has been too long brother. This is Teri Young, none other than the wife of JD. I was completey flabergasted and taken aback when I heard the news of your accident.
We all have Jules to thank, as he was messin around on the computer and low and behold there was a letter pertaining to you.
Sonny, I am so so sorry!!! The last time we were all together was just a few short weeks before your accident when you followed me out to our house and took a bike ride to Jules'. Yeah yeah, I know I was a bit new and slower
than you and JD, but I still rode my own and kept up. We have a great picture of you, JD and myself on our sleds.
It has been a long road, but as I have familiarized myself with your accomplishments, this makes me happy. You keep fighting as I know you will.
Jd and Jules will be coming to see you on Saturday. Unfortuneately, I will be unable to make it this trip as I have a Cancer Retreat in Seattle for 2 days. So in the meantime, I will continue my prayers and you know how powerful
they can be.
Stay strong and keep up with the great progress. I cannot wait until I can come see you for myself.
Much love and prayers,
TIOSPAYE, Teri Young

Hi Sonny,
Wow! It sounds like you have been busy with yourself, I know the weather was real hot last week and I only hope you weren't as hot as we all were. The F word, hm-mm, well it coulda been worse : ) I think it's classic and
sometimes we gotta just say what we feel. It is so nice to know that your daughter is in contact and that you will soon see her & your grandchildren. I am so happy for you...Being a grand-mama myself, there is nothing like being
a grandparent and the rewards are so wonderful. Your moms, your family, your daughter, your grandchildren, all your friend's are there for you and we all have love for you. Sonny, I know it is a hard road for you now, I don't
think any of us can ever completely understand what you are going thru, but we can be there for you and each in our own ways. I sure miss you...I heard "Headknocker" from Foreigner the other day on KZOK, thought of you
instantly! I remember driving in my ex's candy apple red 1969 Camero, windows down, radio blasting this song and cruising Ballard. That was a long time ago, but it feels like just yesterday. "He's a dedicated rocker, a real
Headknocker, don't look at his lady again" "Cause if he catches you a messin, he's gonna teach you a lesson, don't make me say it again" "Headknocker, Headknocker, your coming on strong, a real show stopper" Good times
they were. Hoping to see you soon, take care and keep that wonderful smile of yours on 24/7.
xoxoxo : ) : ) : )

Hey everyone. This is Michaele, Resident Care Manager at North Creek Health and Rehab. I put a request in for Dr.Smith to give Kelly a pass, and probably now that I read Loretta's blog, I will ask for a pass for the holiday's
as well. The pass currently requests a pass for Sonny to go out with Kelly in the T-top camaro/convertible. It sure seems like Sonny understands what we are all saying. If you mention certain things about especially old memories,
or important memories, ie pretty girls, t-tops, motorcycle's etc, he gets a big smile on his face. I don't know if Lorretta or Kelly knows this, but as of today, we have a new Speech Therapist, as Shay has taken a permanent
position in NOrth Seattle, not quite sure which facility, maybe Greenwood, but she lives over on that side, so Bothell was far for her to come. We are trialing Sonny right now with nothing being put in the tube feed, and all things
by mouth, and if he doesn't becomes dehydrated or something else, Dr. Smith feels the tube feed can come out, and Sonny would love that. So, everyone pray and keep fingers crossed that he doesn't (I don't think he will, he
enjoys eating far too much) and we will take it to the next level!! As always, thanks to Loretta, Kelly and Jess and all the other caring friends and family. It's been a long journey and we are just beginning.

I'll bring my new son up to meet ya,this kid is the coolest. Were pretty much unseprable. He's definately my partner.I gave up all the bullshit to make sure I can give the little shit he needs. He's a handfull but worth it,even though he

Hey Father of mine. I am trying to remember all who signs your guest book. I know a Debbie Masters but not a Wilson. Do I know her? Heading out to the Omak Stampede. I sure wish you were here to come with us. Was
going to bring the kids to my Mom's for a couple weeks and then come see you. But she never called or sent the $$. Blew us off again. I wish mine and your plan happened before all of this. Remember you had money and plans
of us coming down the weekend of the crash. I just can't believe I was so close to seeing you, and now I just don't know what tomorrow holds anymore. I emailed your mom, never got a responce back. I hope she isn't bothered
by anything I said. I miss you so much. I really feel mixed up inside. We were always so close, and I hope me not being able to come, don't make you feel I don't care or love you. You just work on your basics Dad, cuz I need
someone to talk back too. LOL!!!! Ah daughter like Father huh? I love you Dad! John sends love. Steelers are almost ready to play again. Another victory??? You bet! Lily,Chance and Colton love you very much.

Good Morning everyone!
Just a short update, we had a care conference and we are hoping to add skilled PT to Sonny's day, we have started, or will start on MOnday, skilled OT 3x per week. Loretta is working on getting PT, SLP for cognition. I also
asked his Doctor to consider d/c permanently the tube feed, as he has gained 20 pounds and eating 3 meals per day. In the past, when we have discontinue a person's tube feeding, it seems to improve their mood considerably
and the big goal here is normalization, up 3 x per day, go to all three meals, and less time in bed/napping etc. It's a great step that he is taking. Thank-you to all that are so supportive. If we can get him more stimulated, we think he
will continue to improve, so we can attack it from all sides, with skilled therapies as well as "family" therapy! If you don't feel comfortable doing range of motion, read him a story, take him for a ride in the w/c, or anything else you
can think of that will make him think/engage him in his environment. Ans as always, the staff at North Creek Health and Rehab appreciate all the support and love from his family! A special thank-you to Kelly, who participated in
the care conference. Very appreciated!! Thank-you Loretta, Sam, Jess and all the others that have been faithful visitors.

Hi Sonny , Loreta hey I was in there sunday to see Sonny and I brought him a new sleveless shirt I hope its cooler . He looked real good and I even got a few smiles when I was rubbing his neck . I had brought my pup for him to
see but by the time I got back from getting some coffee he was already back to sleep maybe next time. It was early when I was in there so not too hot yet .
I was gonna tell you that I have seen these neck band things some golfers wear that when you wet em down they cool the body temp. I'll see if I can find a couple I may even have one in the pro shop I'll check and send it if I do I

Hey dad, I haven't been able to reach Sam. Your sister I talked to and she gave me this website. I came to see you when you were really hurt and it brakes my heart that I live so far and its so expensive that I and your 3
wonderful grandbabies can't come to you. I do plan on seeing you before the summer is up. Everyone says your doing good and really starting to know people. My biggest fear is that my own Father would never remember me
again. I miss you so much. It hurts so bad. You were and always will be the only one I will ever love as a Dad and a best friend. You get yourself better ok, and NEVER think I'm not thinking of you EVERYDAY! I will come to
you as soon as I can get the monies to make that trip if it's that last thing I do! I love you DADDY!!!!! Your Son in Law John sends his love. And your grandbabies Lily, Chance and Colton miss their gpa Sonny so much. I love
you. Ill see you soon.

Hello everyone!! This is Michaele Clark-Adams at NorthCreek Health and Rehab. We are having a fine summer and Sunny is progressing daily, and now 3 seperate instances where someone heard him vocalize, which is very
exciting. Yesterday, he seemed like he was going to give myself and Loretta the thumbs up sign, but thought better of it and made that motion to feed him. He had 3 meals yesterday that he was very, very happy to have. We can
now get a dinner tray for family to feed him and hold the tube feed and restart it after dinner, at 1900. It usually goes back on at 1600 and he has been being fed breakfast and lunch, which he loves. Kelly comes a lot to feed him
(thankyou again to Jess and Kelly). Of course, Loretta comes all the time and she goes with him to the appointments. I think Sonny is due very soon for another botox injection to try to ease up the L side neck torticollis (stiff neck
basically). He has a new room, away from the difficult roommate (ask Lorretta, she can fill you in, lol). We are trying to find out if Sonny would qualify and be appropriate for intensive in-patient rehab where he would have to
tolerate 3 hard/long hours of PT/OT/SLP. We think he is just now qualified and can tolerate it as well as stay awake and follow some simply commands. Prayers for Sonny are ALWAYS welcome, it's a small miracle that he has
porgressed as well and as fast as he has, I don't think the docs at Harborview would ever have predicted he was doing this well 9 mos later. Again, thank-you to all the come, the staff at North Creek are very, very appreciative.
We have many dedicated and loving staff especially the CNA's, who give the direct care. Please ask for me whenever you come in and you may call at anytime or email! Thank-you especially to Loretta, Kelly and Jess (and of
course, to Sonny!!). FYI: I am off every Wed, but available M-T-TH-Fri and I can always be reached by cell phone, just ask a staff member to call me.

well Ive been in twice to see Sonny but havent been able to get to a computer till now to write. Me and my friend Mikie went to see Sonny last week and he was doing well. He is much more alert now. I went in first and his eyes
followed me and he looked me straight in my eyes while I was talking to him. Then Mikie came in the room and when I said Mikie was coming in he looked straight at him . I gave him some water out of a cup and he insisted he
hold the straw himself. He tryed to hold the cup but I wouldnt let him. I told Mikie that Sonny can understand me so I told him to move his left leg, which he hardly does, but he did. I have a feeling he may pull out of this if we
keep on him. He has always been in good spirits except that one time. I hope to keep visiting him as much as possible. Loretta hope to run into you soon so we can talk.

Hey Bro!!! So I hear you are doling out kisses and beginning to talk!!! You just can't keep a Perencevic from talking and we all know you and kisses. :) I'm thrilled for the big steps you're making, you are such a strong man and
your heart just pushes onward no matter what...you inspire me.
Here in San Diego it's hot, breezy (yes, both at the same timebecause I'm right next to the ocean), and about to get really noisy since it's the 4th of July...people tell me they go hog wild with the ifreworks displays around here
because it's illegal for people to set them off themselves. Too much fire hazard. Well, considering that what they call "rain" down here usually amounts to what Seattleites would call a "slight drizzle", it's not surprising that fires are a
big risk with fireworks! it's pretty crispy.
I'm going to send you some pictures of where I am, the ocean is beautiful and you would love the sandstone cliffs at Torrey Pines Reserve. On one side is the ocean, and the cliffs begin about fifty yards inland. In between is the
most beautiful sand, and there are parts of the beach that no one goes to because you have to hike in on foot...so it's QUIET except for the sound of the waves.
I love you, Sonny. I'm sorry I haven't been able to get there to see you in person, but I know you would understand. I pray for you every day and you are so often in my thoughts. Keep that Perencevic chin up and your resolve
strong, ok? I can't wait to hear you drum again!

Hi Sonny, It is so good to hear all the progress you are making. You are actually talking and that is awesome! In a matter of time, you are going to be able to talk to all of us and that is so exciting. I will be in to visit you on Friday
late afternoon and I can't wait to see you. I am finishing up spring quarter and on to summer quarter soon. My bro took me out to the tastin & racin at Lake Samammish on Saturday. It was awesome, hydro races, food, classic
rock bands and I had a great time. I don't get out that much, so it was a big deal for me and I loved it! We all have mad love for you Sonny, I cannot wait for you to tell me what youv'e been doing for all these years and we all are
stoked to have you back again in our lives. I was invited to the 25th year reunion of my high school, Shorecrest, but the bummer is I couldn't make it : ( Wow! 25th year? That is so unreal, I feel sooo old : ) Time has sure flown
by fast. Until I see you on Friday, keep that chin up, keep your smile on : ) and I will see you soon...

Hi from Michaele, one of Sonny's nurses. I just wanted to let everyone know how much we all here at North Creek Health and rehab love and adore Sonny, as well as appreciate all the support from the family and friends. We
feel he is progressing daily and I just wanted to let everyone know that one afternoon, he had just eaten (Kelly I think fed him), he was tired, frustrated and a little angry. Someone had placed him near his room, he could see his
bed, the room looked cool and inviting. It was clear to me that he wanted to go in his room, and lay down. He made a few vocal noises and I asked him if he wanted to lay down and he groaned out "YEAHHHH". This is the first
time I have heard him make a vocalization, another staff member heard it and it was WONDERFUL!!!!! Please know that we are all pulling for him to get better and he has a great rehab team. Thank-you all for all the wonderful
support and love and dedication!!

Hey everybody, I had seen Sonny last time on April 29th and watched the Mariners game with him. When I went home I had found my roommate deceased so I have not been doing well, and hadnt been up to see Sonny for
awhile. I stopped by with my friend from Ambersterdam for about 10 minutes on the way to the airport, she had sent Sonny cards several times so it was nice to have her finally met him. I am back to work now after 5 months so
I dont have as much time to get up to see our buddy Sonny. I want to once again thank everyone who can make it there. On Thursday I didnt have to be at work till 2pm so I stopped by at about 11:45am and he was in the big
dining room just hanging out so they asked me to wheel him down to other dining room. I told them I had never fed him so I would just watch. She brought his towel bib, then his lunch and nobody ever came to feed him. I was
thinking to myself 'I can do this I was a mom once, not only that I worked in a nursing home for 2 years, I really think I can do this" Well I did, I got to feed Sonny his lunch. He did really good! He ate it all, at first I gave him
baby bites and thought gosh Ill never get done so I fed him bigger bites. I did have a little trouble as with his neck laying on his shoulders, it was hard to turn a spoon with mashed up food on it in his mouth sideways and actually
make it in his mouth. I let him hold the other spoon so he felt like he was helping. He did love his vanilla pudding. His milk was a little harder to get where it needed to be. But we did it. I dont know if he can use a straw yet but I
did ask for one and she couldnt find one, But I did find one later walking down the hall on the nurses table. It should be in his drawer. He didnt spit or anythingfor me so I guess he was minding his manners but feels comfortable
enough with his mom to be spitting all the time haha Everyone take care and we need to get together and have a Sonny barbeque soon.

Hi Sonny it sure has been a long time. I did stop by to see you with Debbie Wilson but you were sleeping. Debbie has been keping me up to date on how you are doing. It sounds like you are getting stronger every day. Let see if
you remember me. I lived in Ballinger Homes across from Duncan Lickey you set off a thousand firecrackers on his lawn & Duncan came out & vacumed them up man you sure made a mess. It was fun to watch him clean up that
mess. I use to give you food when you lived at the park. I live in Hauser Idaho I am going to College to get my Bachlors degree in Social Work then in Law to stop domestic violance. I will keep in touch ask your mother is
there away to attach pictures I will sent you pictures of Idaho so that way you have something other then the white walls to look at ok. one step at a time old friend. I will see if I can escape & come see you again. Tori Barnes

Hey great news!I went to see sonny today and he was wide awake kicking his covers off, and he looked right at me as soon as I walked through the door. So I started getting him cleaned up, starting brushing his teath and I said
do you want to brush your own @$& damn teath, he grabbed that tooth brush and held it brushed his teath.. Now he was'nt precise and thourough.. BUT made the motion perfect and didn't drop the toothbrush it was awesome!
Then he spit, I asked him if he wanted to wipe his mouth off, he freakin picked up the washcloth wiped his face (with his right hand) and then put it down on his chest. I thought I was going to scream I was so excited!! Then he
just grinned from ear to ear! Biggest smile I've seen him do. Just wanted to share my happy day with everyone! :) ~Sam

afternoon. Its so good to see him dressed and out of bed. I bet he feels so much better too. I pushed him around in his new fancy wheelchair too, he has it so good with that thing. Thanks to Kelly and Jessica for the pics of him

Hi Sonny, I read you were out in the beautiful sunshine on Sunday and I am so glad that you were able to enjoy it. When I had come to visit you on April 1st, you were sleeping and I didn't think I should wake you up...I had
brought another old friend of yours, Vicki Butcher (Tory) that was there to visit you. I am hoping she will make it back in between quarters in her free time. I am in spring quarter, made it thru finals for winter quarter and I am
learning all kinds of new things. Most of all, DO MY HOMEWORK : ) You have made huge steps since I first visited you and that is AWESOME!!! You & your family are in my prayers, I think of you everyday and I will see
you soon...

Hey Bro...
I LOVE YOU SONNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone says you're getting better every day, and I believe it. Someone here already commented that if the tables were turned, you would be there to support and help them through
whatever struggle they had to go through to get back on their feet, and they were absolutely right about that. I've seen you do that with me more than once...you are going to get through this. So many people love you, and your
spirit is so strong.
Recently when I was still not home yet, I was walking outside when I saw a huge hawk fly straight overhead. It reminded me of your strength and your free and adventurous spirit. Keep fighting, Sonny...you still have places to fly.
My heart is with you.

hey Loretta and all, I went to visit Sonny last Tuesday the 10th for awhile. He was in his chair and in a angry mood. His arm was frailing around and his face was red, and he seemed mad. Also his scar on his forehead was
bleeding and I asked if he fallen out of bed but the nurse said no. I think maybe the nurses scrubbed his face way too hard. Not sure though. I gave him a ride around the halls and then went to the family room to get away from
the roommate (oops I said that outloud?) and Sonny wasnt up to anything. When we went back to his room the therpy nurse came in and said to Sonny " hey I heard you are trying to communite with everyone now". He ignored
her and wouldnt even look her way. She tried to get him to look at her for a few minutes and he kept his eyes over towards me. Then she said" Okay then Sonny, make you a deal, you look at me, at my eyes, and I will leave"
Guess what he did? Yep he looked directly at her face and she said "Okay then I am outta here", she kept talking and Sonny arms starting frailing around again and he was giving her dirty looks so she left. HA HA! thats what she
gets! I left for awhile and I went back with a red ball for his hands to squeeze and he didnt hold it too well. maybe on a different day will be better. Also I was washing his face and he grabbed the washcloth and I showed him
how to wash his face, he liked it, but it took me another few minutes to get it back. I am so Glad to hear he is somewhat eating, he needed something in there. I am so thankful for all of you for going to visit. take care from angela

Sonny,
We Love You!!!!!! The past 2 months you have made so much progress. Every little thing new you do is so BIG for the rest of us. You have given everyone so much hope on your recovery. Just in the past two weeks you are
focusing in on everyone for more than just a second or so, you are actually looking at us for a few minutes at a time. you have been fighting so hard to talk. You have said a few words in the past two days, can't quite understand
what you are saying but your trying and thats all that counts!!!!! You really focus in on Kelly and it is just so amazing to watch how hard you fight and struggle to talk and connect with him. Kelly sits for hours with you and just
works with you in so many ways, you are so important to him and he wants so bad for your recovery sooner than later, he loves you dearly. Kris and Michelle your lead nurses were so excited today, they knew you had it in you,
and knew how bad you wanted to EAT FOOD and thats exactly what you did, pudding and juice is a great start... The two of them absolutely adore you.. we all do!!!!! we were all so happy and excited for you. Were here for
you always and can't wait to get back there to see you and see what you do next! I want you to know your Mom and Sam are both so amazing, they have never left your side. Your mom is always so inspirational and so positive
and takes such good care of you. You are a very lucky guy to have such a wonderful Mom, Neice Sam, lots of loving family and friends as well!!!!!!! Everyone believes in you. You are so strong and if anyone can pull this off it's
YOU....Love, Jess an Kelly
And a very special thanks to Shanna for letting us know where you were, Thank you so much Shanna!!!!!!
Sonny,
I heard about your accident in January the day I found out I was there by your side. I come and see you every day or every other day. I can't even imagine what you are going threw Iam so SORRY this happened to you, hang in
there Iam here for you. I see you improve every time I see you. I sware you were trying to talk to me yesterday and today. You were able to eat somrthing today and thats so great. Jess and I took you outside today so you could
have some sun, you loved it! I miss you, stay strong. I've got your bike put away for you, it's in a safe place and when your ready your bike will be too. Keep up the good work I love to see you smile....... BROS FOR LIFE

Loretta, I would like to thank you very much for keeping us updated. There are times I cant get there although I do try at least every 2 weeks to be there. I know it must be hard for you to work all day and then take care of your
son Sonny, I know he knows you are there. I urge all friends of Sonnys to keep going to see him. It may not seem to you that he is making progress but those who visit regular can tell. I just ask you to go there, hold his hand, talk
about the news, the weather, anything you can think of. He needs to know we are still here for him even if he is a bad spot right now. But thats what friends do, they are there for you good or bad, healthy or sick, and he does
need you. When I go to see Sonny, I brush his hair, wash his face, hold his hand, clean his room, and just talk to him. So please he needs to have visits to keep his mind stimulated, sometimes if you ask him questions he will
squeeze your hand.
He would be there for you, and you all know it.

Just wanted to write a quick note to let you know I'm so glad you've moved out of that hospital into rehab now - Mom and Sam have worked so hard to check the background to let us all be glad to be reassured you're in a clean
and safe place. That is all we ask, that God blesses us with progress, not perfection....and this IS progress! I am also grateful that you are so close to where I'm at - 5 minutes away now so be advised you won't be lonely!!
Tommy, his wife Jessica and little Tommy live right up the street, too so we will all see you as often as possible for as long as you need us...I will see you tomorrow afternoon - keep up the fight, baby - nobody can do it like you

Hey, Sonny -
Time to share a little something with you and this wonderful support system and extended family - yesterday afternoon I went up to see you and was thrilled to see recognition - for real - in your eyes, as well as your tremendous
effort to communicate. It was the first time I've heard your "voice" as you made some verbal sounds and moved your mouth and tongue as if to speak...I was so proud of you. Your strength and will are, as always, the greatest of
inspirations. I have no doubt - NONE WHATSOEVER - that your progress will continue as it does daily until you have overcome this little detour... now, about that travel agent...:-) Anyway, everyone is still in touch - only you
could bring together so many people and so much love from around the country, if not the world. Thank you all for the prayers and support - we together will all help him get himself though this - love to you all.
And as always, my dear Sonny,

Hang in there!!! You can make it and you will!!
From reading some of the journal entries, you have a whole host of family and friends who are pulling for you and are anxious for you to get up from there so you can raise the roof together. I'll check back later to hear how you
are doing. The next time I write, I am hoping you can read this for yourself. You will be in mine and my husband's prayers. Our family is from Alabama so I am sending a prayer request there to put you on their prayer list too.

Hey, it's Sam his niece. I don't know how to post anything else but on the guestbook so I can just kind of keep you informed this way until I figure it out.
He is doing as good as he can right now. They took him off of the breathing machine for almost 2 hours today and he was totally breathing on his own, so that's a good sign! His reflexes have improved, they aren't where they
should be yet, but he is improving.
He will be going in for minor surgery tomorrow to put a trake in his neck, and they will also put a plate on his voice box because he fractured that. The doctors said that will help him talk when he wakes up.
Other than all that it is still a waiting process, so he can use all the prayers, love, and support we can give him.
If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me, I am almost always here at the hospital so I will check my e-mail as often as I can.
WE LOVE YOU SONNY!!! GET WELL SOON!!

My name is mrs. Santana Valdez from Houston, taxes.i never believed in love spells or magic until i met this spell caster once. when i went to Africa in June 28th 2013 this year on a business summit. i ment a man called dr. Atakpo. He is powerful he could help you cast a spells to bring back my love’s gone, misbehaving lover looking for some one to love you, bring back lost money and magic money spell or spell for a good job.i’m now happy & a living testimony cos the man i had wanted to marry left me 3 weeks before our wedding and my life was upside down cos our relationship has been on for 2 years… i really loved him, but his mother was against me and he had no good paying job. so when i met this spell caster, i told him what happened and explained the situation of things to him..at first i was undecided, skeptical and doubtful, but i just gave it a try. and in 6 days when i returned to taxes, my boyfriend (is now my husband ) he called me by himself and came to me apologizing that everything had been settled with his mom and family and he got a new job interview so we should get married..i didn’t believe it cos the spell caster only asked for my name and my boyfriends name and all i wanted him to do… well we are happily married now and we are expecting our little kid,and my husband also got a new job and our lives became much better. in case anyone needs the spell caster for some help, email address atakpotemble@yahoo.com Great Atakpo i thank you very much thank you in 1000000 times.. if not you i would have been losted and wasted thank you.
